Chattock House Chattock House

This house has a difficult site; a steep shale cliff overlooking the Newport estuary in Pembrokeshire. The structure of the new house comprises a load bearing masonry lower ground
floor storey, and a timber framed upper storey and roof. The timber structure is composed of irroko beams and posts, and is joined by a series of invisibly bolted together junctions, all carefully detailed. The external terrace is of timber construction with a pre cast concrete post and beam facade.

The project is currently on site for completion in Autumn 2011.
