Conceived as the centre piece of a flat conversion, this conservatory is typical of the many structural glass projects completed by Barton Engineers in recent years. The primary structure comprises glass beams and columns, formed using triple laminated annealed glass. These in turn support toughened glass roof and wall panels; the whole jointed together using structural silicone sealant. A particular feature of this project are the glass doors to the conservatory. These have no visible mechanism remaining when open as they are supported by filing cabinet type drawer sliders, that fold away with the door into a recess, as the door is opened.
