Visitor Facilities, Hastings Castle,
Hastings, Sussex

Visitor Facilities, Hastings Castle Sunbury Embroidery Gallery

The object of this scheme is to improve access to the castle and provide new visitor facilities. These include a new disabled access lift from the existing funicular railway which leads from the beach to cliff top, a steel footbridge spanning the existing moat, and a new WC and office within the castle.

All elements use Corten steel cages to define the new interventions and provide a unifying motif. The project will commence on site during 2007.
