A steel framed new build house, with timber floor and roof structures. The steel frame allows us to create the flexible space and to form the wings of the house with open ground floor walls by placing stability bracing within the floor and roof planes. These then bring wind loads back to the central core and its cross wall construction.
The house also contains an extensive basement and piled foundations, with ground source heat pump.
