The latest in a series of public lavatories that the team have produced for the Council. The structure is a steel frame on mass concrete pad foundations, with a profiled metal deck roof. An architectural theme that runs through all of the schemes is to float the roof over the walls and to raise the walls off the ground; both ideas have a utilitarian function as well as being an architectural device. To protect the frame from the aggressive environment, the steel is galvanised.
