Barton Engineers on Institution of Structural Engineers Task Group
Barton Engineers are very pleased to be asked to sit on the Institution of Structural Engineers Task Group for the updating and rewriting of the Institution's "Structural Use of Glass in Buildings" publication. Bob Barton attended the first Task Group meeting earlier this week, and reports back that the Group seems to have gathered together most of the UK's top glass design engineers. Lively discussion took place and he anticipates the new edition, due to be published early in 2013, will become the new industry standard. As the promised Eurocode for Glass seems to be some years away, the new edition will be a very important document.
