Smith House, Bournemouth

Set around a courtyard, with utility spaces at the front of the house, and main living spaces at the rear, this two storey house has a steel framed structure which enables us to form the cantilevered construction. Timber joisted floor and stud infill walls further the flexibility of planning,
and lateral stability is achieved using a combination of portal frames and hidden cross bracing within floors and walls.

This project is currently on site for completion in spring 2011.
