One of many domestic scale projects completed over the last year, this comprised a new rear extension, and the removal of ground floor walls. Careful design and detailing of the new structure allows the existing house to be opened up, and what was once the cramped rear extension becomes the main space of the house.
Galvanised steelwork has been used throughout the rear extension; even in the dining room table. In the upper floors the existing structure has been strengthened and altered using mostly timber rather than steel, being more appropriate in combination with the existing fabric.
